About Me

Originally from Moscow, I made Ireland my home at the age of 19.

It was 2003, when I arrived in Dublin to start my English language course in Swan Training Institute on Grafton Street, where I got my CELT (International language qualification) years later.

In 2006 I successfully graduated from Griffith College Dublin (Bachelor of Arts), by then I had already obtained Specialist Degree in International Oil and Gas business (First Honors) from State University of Management in Moscow.

By working very hard, my career had taken me to the fascinating world of jewellery and gems.

Reputation and respect are very important qualities when dealing with people from different walks of life, I’ve learnt how to listen and hear at different levels and in different languages, meanwhile achieving set goals and objectives.

I’m a proud wife of my late husband Frank Bodley, the love of my Life, who taught me how to go after your dream, whose work I would like to continue.

Ireland has been my spiritual home for years, now it’s payback time.  All the love and care that I have received over the years I would love to give back to people of Ireland, starting in Wicklow!

Fair play and balance, transparency and clear communication at all levels with sincere love and care, it is the only way forward.

I LOVE PEOPLE, they are the footprints of God.  As a speaker of 7 languages, with multicultural and multilingual background, I’ve met and I have taught about 20 different nationalities over the years, I have become a fair channel of communication between local communities and different interest groups.

I have taught English as a foreign language in Dorset College Dublin.

I coordinate the Italian language programme in BIFE (Bray Institute of Further Education).

I strongly believe that people are at the heart of every decision to create a community that has a lasting value.

According to Census Survey Arklow has 30 nationalities. It’s truly a multicultural community and I feel I can make a difference with local issues for the people of Southern Wicklow.

It’s time to hear fresh voices and time to bring a different perspective into the council chamber.

I will be a truly independent strong voice for the concerns of locals on issues, no matter how big or small.

I have taken a very active role in many community groups in Arklow such as :

– Arklow bridge clubs ( Apollo, Arklow, Arklow 68 )
– Templerainey church choir
– Conradh na Gaelge ( opening branch in Arklow)
– Woodenbridge Golf Club

MY FOCUS

Cultural Centre for ALL

Arklow is well known for its incredible talent, we need a venue for our artists. If you can’t see it, you can’t be it! Make Arklow a destination, not passing through town.

As a linguist and memory couch I’m convinced, that brain health is vitally important for wellbeing for all of us. I’ve experienced Dementia in my own family, so I truly believe in promoting language learning and playing bridge for all ages to improve quality of life.

Safety & Accessibility to All Estates

I would focus on safety and wellbeing of our community in terms of access to the housing estates, as some of the newly built estates only have one access, one road and one way in and out, in the long run ,that might create challenges for emergency vehicles as well as unnecessary risks for the local residents.

Every house has at least 2 exits, so it’s only logical to make sure there is a proper access to the housing estates especially in times of emergency. Public safety is the priority.

Access to Public Amenities for All, especially for our seniors and children

Pitch and Putt ground would be fantastic amenity for people of all age groups especially for our seniors to practise their swing and socialise in the meantime. This space will be ideal for the spirit of the community.

Up-to-date and creativity boosting  playground for our young people.

Inclusive, sense friendly, neurodivergent spaces for children with learning challenges and other special needs, safe spaces for exploring their potential and learning new skills.

Diverse and financially viable local business development, reinvestment of resources in local infrastructures such as cultural centre for our artists and musicians as well as facilitate more activity centres for young people of our county. 

Support and promote local produce, promote our local tourism.

Provision of job training and education to help our professionals adjust to future needs.
